The food bank at the Vestiaire St-Joseph provides food to families in need in 18 regions of Southeast New Brunswick and Kent County. Clients must sign up to the Food Depot Alimentaire program in order to receive food from any food bank across the province. Clients can access the food bank once a month.
Vestiaire St-Joseph accepts clients on an appointment basis. Contact us at 506-532-1147, extension 1 to book an appointment.
If you are a first time client or you require emergency groceries, contact us and we will arrange for an immediate appointment.
We ask all of our clients to keep their appointment times. Please contact us if you cannot be on time, so we can serve others in your place.
You can expect to treated with respect, understanding, patience and dignity.

You can expect to be in a physically and emotionally safe environment.
Our staff and volunteers work for Vestiaire St-Joseph because they understand how valuable it is to help others and our community as a whole.

Food Banks Canada and our network of Provincial Associations and Affiliate Food Banks will:
1. Provide food and other assistance to those needing help regardless of race, national or ethnic origin, citizenship, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, income source, age or mental or physical ability.
2. Treat all those who access services with the utmost dignity and respect.
3. Implement best practices in the proper and safe storage and handling of food.
4. Respect the privacy of those served and will maintain the confidentiality of personal information.
5. Not sell donated food.
6. Acquire and share food in a spirit of cooperation with other food banks and food programs.
7. Strive to make the public aware of the existence of hunger, and of the factors that contribute to it.
8. Recognize that food banks are not a viable long-term response to hunger and devote part of their activities to reducing the need for food assistance.
9. Represent accurately, honestly, and completely their respective mission and activities to the larger community.
We ask that you have your Medicare card and, proof of address.
First time or emergency clients will not be declined. If you do not have this information on hand for your first visit, we request that you gather these documents for your next appointment.

Late spring, our seedlings will be planted on site to grow and become food for our clients in the fall.
We accept seed donations year round and plant donations in the spring. Tomatoes, beans, cucumbers and high yield crops are preferred.
